Welcome to Treecare and the spring edition of our newsletter

We have been working hard on restructuring the company to improve our efficiency and services. The results are very positive. We have built a strong team of certificated, hardworking and experienced arboriculturists, who are passionate about their work.

Tree surgery is one of the most dangerous professions owing to the high potential work accident risks involved. Tree surgery requires intensive training. Most start off as groundsmen and it may take years to progress to a climber. It is essential that each tree surgeon becomes adept in the use of a chainsaw on the ground and gains the necessary NPCT chainsaw certificates before being allowed to use the chainsaw at heights. We currently have £10M public and employers liability cover and hold all the relevant method statement, risk assessment and health & safety documentation.

Council permission to do tree works is required in most areas in London. The councils are very strict when it comes to their tree protection policies. It takes between 6 and 8 weeks for decisions to come through. As part of our service we can apply on behalf of our Clients to the councils for permission to carry out proposed tree works, free of charge.

 Tree Planting: Our cosy nursery is always well stocked with interesting selection of hand-picked, ornamental trees and shrubs – all beautiful and of 1^st class quality incl. Birch, Cherry, Maple, Rowan. Have a look … visit us, pick up advice from our expert staff, choose your tree and we will deliver and plant the next day.

Logs: We also have a steady supply of logs for the garden burners/ovens, which will make the still chilly al fresco dining so much more relaxed and pleasant.

Mulch and wood chips are also readily available.
